A leader in the Physical Therapy field for over 22 years, John leads a highly qualified team of allied professionals. He has earned degrees in Kinesiology and Physical Therapy form the Universities of Waterloo and Toronto respectively. John continues to pursue extensive private study in the fields of exercise physiology, bio-mechanics, and the applied analysis of muscular imbalances.

A practicing professional, John is also involved in the community providing physiotherapy at various Summer Games, nationally sanctioned swimming and judo events, plus numerous provincial level team sports. In addition to treating sports and orthopaedic injuries, John has been manufacturing orthotic devices for the past 14 years. He has integrated the evolution of today's technology, including dynamic pressure analysis and digital imaging. Jacqui Steinberg B.Sc. (P.T.) MCPA


Jacqui has 20 years of international experience in physiotherapy, specializing in the field of orthopedics & sports injuries plus extensive experience in work conditioning programs, functional testing, job site assessments and training for return to work and sports. She has experience in private practice, home care, a hand clinic and geriatric and pediatric facilities.

After qualifying with a degree in physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town in South Africa she re-qualified as a Canadian physiotherapist in 1990. In South Africa she studied and worked under the guidance of a leading sports medicine physician.

Complimenting this experience Jacqui has been a trainer for a first league rugby team and worked on medical teams for various summer and winter games.

Post graduate study includes courses in orthopedics, lower limb and foot mechanics, orthotic prescription, sports injuries, functional testing, job demands analysis, ergonomic analysis and intervention, exercise, training techniques, stretching prescription, Pilates for physiotherapists and the use of yoga practice for physiotherapy.

Philosophy Balance acute management using manual techniques, electrotherapeutic modalities and exercise programs with a view to fast return to normal activities including sport and work with long term management. Long term encourage education and client participation in exercise/ stretching programs ( including weight training, core strengthening, pilates principles, stretching , posture training, balance and alignment using yoga principles) to achieve optimal strength, alignment and balance in the body to avoid further problems.


 

Derek KyleDerek Kyle B.Sc (P.T.)
Derek has over a decade of physiotherapy experience, from the patients perspective. Growing up on the north shore and taking an active lifestyle to heart Derek realized the benefits of orthopaedic physiotherapy from early on. After many successful rehabilitations and returns to the outdoor sports Derek loves, his aspirations in private practice physiotherapy were established. In 2005 Derek completed his degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta and started his physiotherapy practice and career in North Vancouver.

Derek has extensive experience instructing and coaching various forms of exercise and movement with being a coach for competitive and recreational climbers and being a trainer for university level track and field and cross country athletes. His post graduate physiotherapy studies have been in orthopaedics and myofascial release techniques.
